Can someone please guide me how to match the used PCM into the car using Maxisys Elite.I just bought the tool. Some videos I saw they can rewrite the VIN. I can't find that function in my tool. My dodge version is 7.51. I hope someone can help. Thanks guys.

And another question. Do I need to subscribe to Techauthority to make this work? By the way I'm from the Philippines. Thanks in advance.

I replaced the PCM with a used one on a 1999 Chrysler Concord and was able to write the VIN. Yours maybe different. That year I think you will only be able to update calibrations.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is I have a used PCM that when I plug it in the car it
won't start. My original PCM has a bad Primary ignition 1. It runs but only in 2
    cylinders.

there are a few ways to change vin in the pcm depending on the year, make and model. now keeping in mind it reads the vin from the skim/wcm all you need to do is unplug the skim or wcm then go to pcm/special function or misc function and read/change vin, connect your skim/wcm back and start vehicle. this does not work on newer vehicles with win module/node. the correct way to do it is by going to skim/wcm/win then misc function or special function then click on replace pcm, pin code is needed though if done this way, on new vehicles with win node is the only way unless you have abrites commander or similar hack tools. good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for that Special Function but my Maxisys Elite
doesn't have it. I don't know why. My Chrysler/Dodge version is 7.51. Under the BODY
option it has a SKM-SKIM/SKREEM/TPM but when I click it is say Tester not
communicating with control ulit. By the way the car is a 1996 Dodge Caravan 2.4L.
Thanks again. I hope someone can help.

on this old car what you have to do is simple. try this. go to pcm/ special function/vin read change. right before you click on vin read, turn key off and wait for the prompt invalid vin then turn key on, write vin, cycle key and start.

But my Chrysler/Dodge Version 7.51 doesnt have the Special Function. Thats my problem. I saw a video I think he is using a Version 7.10 and he has Special Function.
